And (this is the post comment) we sat at dinner, discussing how much your blog has enriched our dining experience. Thank you! The clearly rendered recipes plus visuals have vastly enhanced our meals this summer/fall.
JenniferJenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02081136645188591443noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5086745178674356329.post-77068300215026847462010-10-15T21:23:40.940-05:002010-10-15T21:23:40.940-05:00Thanks! Because if I did measure a 120 g cup, then 150 g would be 1 1/4 cups of flour. This is not a big deal for a small recipe, but the minute you start multiplying recipes for larger quantities, it becomes a big deal.

Whenever I post both the weights and the volume measurements in a recipe, the weight is always the one I use--the volume is as close an estimate as I can give so that people who don't have a scale can make the recipe.

Thanks for asking!Paigehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05070020708376987222noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5086745178674356329.post-82381154319319421742010-10-14T19:58:11.754-05:002010-10-14T19:58:11.754-05:00Hey, I have a quick question, just whenever you ge...Hey, I have a quick question, just whenever you get around to it. I thought a pastry chef's measurement for flour is 120 grams for 1 cup. So wouldn't 1 1/3 cups be 160 grams? Your pate brisee recipe says 150 grams for 1 1/3 cups of flour. Thanks!
(Hope you're having a great week!)Katrinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17194870993492545810noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5086745178674356329.post-29388276500388622852010-10-11T11:55:52.848-05:002010-10-11T11:55:52.848-05:00That looks so gorgeous. I just made a quick little apple galette with some leftover dough the other day and fanned out the apples like this, remembering this tart.
